๐ŸŽง About the Sounds

The Three Mixes

Deep Focus: A steady bed of soft noise that blurs the edges of a busy room. Many people find that a constant, even background makes it easier to settle into one thing and stay there.

Rain & Ocean: Gentle, shifting nature sounds that ask nothing of you. They are designed to feel easy to be with, giving restless attention somewhere soft to land.

Cosmic Calm: Slow, warm chord pads that drift at an unhurried pace, around 60 beats per minute. Built to feel calming, they can help a space feel a little more still while you breathe.

Noise Characters

Brown (Deep): A deep rumble resembling a distant storm. Effective at masking low-frequency environmental distractions (traffic, HVAC hums).

Pink (Soft): Balanced sound containing equal energy per octave. Pink noise matches the logarithmic pitch sensitivity of human hearing, making it sound smooth and natural.

White (Bright): Contains all frequencies at equal linear power. Excellent for neutralizing sudden, sharp surrounding noises (doors closing, conversations).

A brown noise generator you can actually tune

Zen Mode is a set of sliders and a play button. Brown noise, rain, wind and a few other layers, and you push them around until the room sounds the way you need it to.

Most people land somewhere personal. Heavier brown noise with a little rain over it is a common one for settling into work. More wind and less noise reads more like being outside. There is no correct mix, only the one that helps today.

You can save a mix you like and come back to it, run it open ended, or set fifteen minutes and let it fade out on its own.

It is a plain white noise for focus tool if that is all you want. Press play, leave the tab open, get on with the thing you were avoiding.

Everything is generated in the browser, so there is nothing to download and no account, and it keeps working offline once the page has loaded.

If you want more, we wrote about what brown noise actually sounds like and why people use it on the Ponoki blog.
