Delete your account
Whenever you want to go, you can. Deleting your Ponoki account is done inside the app, takes effect right away, and needs no email or approval from us.
An account is optional in Ponoki. You only have one if you chose to sign up so your progress could sync across devices. If you never created an account, nothing about you was ever stored on our servers, and there is nothing here to delete (see local data below).
Delete it in the app
If you are signed in, you can remove your account and everything synced to it in a few taps:
- Open Ponoki (at play.ponoki.app or the installed Android app).
- Open your Profile by tapping the gear icon.
- Find the Account section.
- Tap "Delete my account...".
- Confirm with "Yes, delete my account and synced data".
That is the whole process. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes it and all the progress synced to it on our server, including:
- Your email address and sign-in details
- Your synced counters and settings: total sessions, streaks, milestone ranks, goal progress, per-game session counts and best scores, and your companion's chosen name
- The aggregate better / same / rough tally counts
- Any feedback messages you chose to send us
There is no hidden copy left behind. What Ponoki never stored in the first place (no mood logs, no journal entries, no record of how you felt on any day) simply never existed to delete. You can read the full picture in the Privacy Policy.
Local data on your device
Ponoki also keeps some data only on your own device, in your browser or the app's local storage, whether or not you have an account. This never leaves your device. Deleting your account does not touch it, because it is yours and it is local. To clear that too, clear this site's data (or the app's storage) in your device settings.
If you cannot open the app
If you are unable to sign in or reach the delete option for any reason, email us at [email protected] from the address on your account and we will delete it for you. There is nothing you need to justify or explain.
