Wisp

Hum or breathe out softly into your mic to fill the wisp. A steady out-breath sound keeps us gliding smooth.

Ponoki listens for breath, not words. Nothing is recorded or saved.

If you feel dizzy or uncomfortable, stop and breathe normally.

A long exhale breathing exercise you steer with your breath

Wisp is the softest thing I have. You hum, or breathe out gently, and a small light glides forward on the sound. Stop, and it settles. Breathe out longer and smoother, and it sails.

The trick is the length of the breath out. A slow, unhurried exhale keeps the wisp moving, so instead of being told to breathe slowly, you find yourself doing it because that is what keeps the light gliding.

There are little motes along the way to drift through. Catching them is nice, missing them costs nothing. I am not keeping a tally on you.

Most people stay two or three minutes. It runs on your microphone so it can hear the breath, and nothing at all is recorded or sent anywhere.

If you came looking for a slow breathing exercise online, start here and let the light do the pacing.

If you would rather follow a set count, Breathe is the plain version, with a few patterns to pick from.

If you want more, we wrote about why a longer breath out feels different on the Ponoki blog.
